Both engagement with – and empowerment of – youth, communities and families, are critical in the prevention of radicalisation leading to violent extremism. Not only can they offer support, but most importantly they can guide practitioners in their difficult job of developing de-radicalisation strategies.
An important focus of RAN YF&C is the Foreign Terrorist Fighters phenomenon. It is important to enable families to act upon early warning signals and possibly prevent other members of the family from travelling.
After RAN activities and Working Group meetings, an ex-post paper highlights lessons learned, insights and follow-up initiatives.
