The Commission is issuing two progress reports on the implementation by Ukraine and Georgia of their respective Visa Liberalisation Action Plans (VLAP).
The assessment found that, notwithstanding the exceptional circumstances Ukraine faces, the progress achieved in the implementation of the VLAP has been noteworthy. Ukraine has set up a coherent legislative framework and showed commitment to institutional reforms. Nevertheless, more sustained efforts, in line with the recommendations issued in the report are required.
Georgia's progress has been significant and it is broadly in line with the second-phase benchmarks. However, Georgia still needs to make further efforts to follow-up the recommendations in this report.
