New Eurobarometer shows EU citizens have concerns about cybercrime threats

At the occasion of the Safer Internet Day, the new Eurobarometer on cyber-security was published today. 85% of Internet users across the EU agree that the risk of becoming a victim of cybercrime is increasing, more than in a similar study from 2013 (76%). 80% of internet users across the EU actually expressed concerns about using Internet for things such as online banking or buying online, up from 75% in 2013. The Eurobarometer survey was carried out between 11 and 20 October 2014, and covers more than 27 000 people in all Member States.
