To mark the 8th EU Anti trafficking day of 18 October, the European Commission issued today a package of three documents on trafficking in human beings, testimony to the commitments and priority given to this area.
The package includes a mid-term report on the implementation of the 2012-2016 EU Strategy on trafficking in human beings. The report presents a series of concrete actions that were launched and implemented, ranging from developing guidelines, handbooks and identifying best practices, to funding of research studies, projects, and establishing platforms of cooperation. All these have been achieved by working closely together with EU Institutions and JHA agencies, Member States, and civil society organisations.
