A passport or other equivalent document entitling the holder to cross the external borders and to which a visa may be affixed.
Today the European Commission adopted a decision to further harmonize issuing of short stay visas. From now on visa applicants in Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sri Lanka and Turkey should present the same set of documents supporting their application for a short stay visa, irrespectively of which EU States' consulate is in charge of examining their application.
This is the second decision of its kind, the first one from August 2011 concerned visa applications from China, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and Vietnam.
