Today, Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship Dimitris Avramopoulos and Commissioner for the Security Union Julian King will host the third high-level meeting of the EU Internet Forum. Launched in December 2015 by Commissioner Avramopoulos, the Forum brings together representatives from the industry, Member States, international organisations and civil society to stop the misuse of the internet by international terrorist groups. Today's meeting will take stock of the progress made over the past year to curb terrorist content online and will contribute to the overall efforts of the Commission to tackle illegal content online.
