Political agreement reached on closing the gaps between EU information systems

Wednesday, 6 February, 2019

The Commission welcomes that the European Parliament and the Member States in the Council have, today, reached an agreement on our proposals to close important security gaps between EU information systems for security, migration and border management.

EU border guards and police officers will soon have more efficient access to the information they need – when and where they need it – in order to do their jobs.
