Summary report - Stakeholder Workshop on implementation of Articles 15 & 16 of Directive 2014/40/EU

As part of the preparatory process for the implementation of systems for traceability and security features for tobacco products (as provided for under Articles 15 and 16 of the Tobacco Products Directive 2014/40/EU), and following on from the stakeholder workshop held on 16 December 2016, a second face-to-face workshop with stakeholders – including NGOs active in the field, manufacturers of tobacco products, solution providers, supply chain operators and retailers – took place on 15 May 2017 in Brussels.

During this workshop key aspects of the preparatory work (based on the continued work of the implementation study, carried out by an external contractor, relating to technical specifications and other key elements of the future systems) were presented.
