On 4 February – World Cancer Day – the Commission will start its outreach on Europe’s Cancer Plan at an event in the European Parliament in Brussels, in collaboration with the MEPs Against Cancer Interest Group. This event aims to demonstrate the EU’s strong commitment to fighting cancer and to harness the collective power for positive change.

Today the European Commission published the reports that depict the profile of health systems in 30 countries. Country Health Profiles are being issued with the Companion Report that shows some of the biggest trends in the transformation of the healthcare systems and draws key conclusions from the Profiles.

To mark the end of the current Expert Panel’s mandate, the Commission and the Panel are organising a conference on the interaction between science/expertise and policy-making on 8 November in Brussels.
