Endocrine disruptors

Stakeholders' dialogue

The Commission engages with stakeholders and other policy makers in an open and transparent dialogue.

On 30 June 2016,  an ad hoc Working Group of the Advisory Group on the Food Chain and Animal and Plant Health, extended to other stakeholders took place. The objective of the meeting was to present the draft acts setting scientific criteria to identify endocrine disruptors in the context of the PPP and BP Regulations that the Commission endorsed on 15 June 2016.

A technical meeting on the JRC methodology for evidence screening of chemicals developed in the context of the Impact Assessment on criteria to identify Endocrine Disruptors took place on 6 November 2015 in Brussels.

A public consultation was carried out between 26.09.2014 to 16.01.2015. Over 27.000 responses were received. The majority of the responses (responses where confidentiality was not requested) were published on 2 February 2015 on the Commission's website. The report on the consultation was published on 24 July 2015.

On 1 June 2015, the European Commission Directorate General for Health and Food Safety organised a one-day conference in Brussels on the impact assessment on criteria to identify endocrine disruptors in the context of the Plant Protection Products Regulation (EC) 1107/2009 and the Biocidal Products Regulation (EU) 528/2012.

Roundtables took place with stakeholders, Member States and Members of Parliament:
