Description: Aiming to enhance the efficiency of energy utilization, the Bureau of Energy intends to expand the regulated scope of energy consumption standard and labelling scheme to include rotordynamic water pumps so as to reduce electricity loss. The proposed scheme applies to both imported products and domestically manufactured products. In addition to the scheme, the proposed technical regulations also specify labelling and inspection requirements, the conformity assessment procedures and post-market surveillance. Products that fail to conform to the requirements will be prohibited from being sold and placed on the domestic market.
