07. Description of the measure “Mobile Apps Laboratories“ – Unique project (R&D centers) in Lithuania and Eastern Europe. The main factors that differentiate Mobile Apps Laboratories from other entrepreneurship promotion projects are sustainability and durability; it gives long lasting freedom for research and idea execution. Due to the fact that Mobile Apps Laboratories is not focused on one product or purpose, we engaged students and local professionals to implement their innovative ideas, receive “App Camp” mentorship during their bachelor, master and PhD dissertation development with aim to bring new products to the market. Mobile Apps Laboratories pay attention to women entrepreneurship by implementing “Connecting Women” initiative – female community developing new innovative businesses. Community united women who perhaps are not technology specialists, but are well aware that innovative thinking gives a special advantage. Therefore, the project participants try to learn and use technology to bring new products to the market.
08. Objectives 1. Bridge business, academia, students and youth societies. 2. Increase number of innovative businesses developed by women and, therefore, solve women qualification, unemployment and entrepreneurial spirit issue, enhance innovative thinking in the field of information and communication technology.

12. Why is this measure a success? Please give information on results and achievements. Mobile Apps Laboratories” We have established App Camp Mobile Apps Laboratories network, Unique in Europe – 5 Research & Development centers with 100+ workspaces for 44.000+ students (1.000 IT graduates per year) in 5 biggest Lithuanian educational institutions. Organized more than 40 theoretical and hands-on approach seminars. More than 40 personal student consultations. „Connecting women” We organized successful platform for fostering women entrepreneurial spirit. - More than 4000 information channel subscribers. - Organized 9 events with inspiring speakers and hands-on approach seminars with business experts - More than 600 women participated in the events - 1000+ women viewed event live streams, 5000+ women viewed video recordings. - Generated more than 75 new business ideas - 8 business ideas became SMBs

Problems that had to be overcome and lessons learned None of Lithuanian universities or colleges haven’t got specialized study programmes for mobile app development yet, therefore, App Camp share their know-how with young student generations to make Lithuania into leading country in the world in smart technologies. In mobile apps laboratories we will create the base of smart specialists, which will bring new world-class products and businesses to the market. Connecting Women project is special for it’s flexibility: women working in their free time and also co-ordinate their professional ambitions with family responsibilities. It means: happy mothers and their children, development of entrepreneurship, lower unemployment and women innovative ideas in information and communication technology industry.
