    • La especialidad de Hematología y Hemoterapia se ocupa de la fisiología de la sangre y órganos hematopoyéticos. Las actividades que le son  propias abarcan los conocimientos teórico prácticos , habilidades y actitudes necesarias  adquiridas para el estudio clínico-biológico de las enfermedades de la sangre y de los órganos hematopoyéticos, y de todos los aspectos relacionados con su tratamiento. La realización e interpretación de las pruebas analíticas derivadas de dichas enfermedades. Todos los aspectos relacionados con la medicina transfusional, como la obtención y control de la sangre y hemoderivados, incluyendo los progenitores hematopoyéticos, así como su uso terapéutico.

    • The specialty of Hematology and Hemotherapy deals with the physiology of the blood and blood-forming organs. Its activities, based on theoretical and practical knowledge, skills and attitudes, cover the clinical-biological study of blood diseases and diseases of blood-forming organs and their respective treatment; carrying out and interpreting analytical evidence stemming from these diseases; and other aspects of transfusion medicine, such as obtaining blood samples and control of blood and blood products, including haematopoietic progenitors and their therapeutic use.
