    Description of activities:

    La profesión de médico especialista en Inmunología conlleva las siguientes competencias:
    a. Comunes a otras titulaciones:
    - Capacitación profesional para realizar las técnicas de laboratorio referidas  al estudio de patologías de base inmunológica.
    - Capacidad de interpretación de los datos generados en el laboratorio, poniéndolos en el contexto clínico y, por tanto, contribuyendo a establecer el diagnóstico clínico y la toma de decisiones terapéuticas.
    - Capacidad para diseñar protocolos diagnósticos y emisión de informes inmunológicos.
    - Capacidad para diseñar y desarrollar proyectos de investigación básicas y clínicas, especialmente aquellos dirigidos a profundizar en el conocimiento y control de los mecanismos fisiopatogénicos en los que interviene el sistema inmunitario.
    b. Específicas de los titulados en Medicina:
    - Capacidad para el diagnóstico y tratamiento de enfermedades de base inmunológica.

    A Physician specialist in Immunology developes the following roles:

    a) Shared with other graduates:

    - Professional training on laboratory techniques for immune-based disease studies.

    - Capacity of interpreting laboratory generated data by clinically contextualising them in order to help establish clinical diagnosis and to contribute to therapeutic decision-making.

    - Capacity of writing diagnostic protocols and immunological reports.

    - Capacity of designing and developing projects of basic and clinical research, especially those that aim at gaining knowledge and control of pathophysiological mechanisms, involving immune system interventions.

    b) Specific for graduates in Medicine:

    - Capacity of establishing diagnosis and carrying out treatments of immune-based diseases.
