    Fachärzte und -ärztinnen für Frauenheilkunde und Geburtshilfe sind in der Prävention, der Diagnose und der Behandlung geschlechtsspezifischer Gesundheitsstörungen der Frau tätig. Außerdem betreuen und überwachen sie Schwangerschaften, Geburten und Wochenbettverläufe.

    Medical specialists in obstetrics and gynaecology are concerned with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of gender-specific health problems which occur in women. They also support and monitor pregnancies, births and confinement.
