    “konservazzjoni” tfisser attivita’ meħtieġa biex kemm jista’ jkun tkabbar ir-resistenza jew tnaqqas id-deterjorament ta’ propjeta’ kulturali, u tinkludi l-eżami, ttestjar, kkurar, reġistrazzjoni u preservazzjoni ta’ kull tali propjeta kullutrali jew xi parti minnha:

    "restawr" tfisser  attività ta’ speċjalizzazzjoni għolja  għall-konservazzjoni tal-ingetrita’ tal-patrimonju kulturali, li joħroġ il-valuri u jtejjeb il-mod ta’ kif jinqara l-Istat, il-forma u d-disinn oriġinali, fil-parametri i tal-material li jkun għadu jeżisti. Dik l-attività għandha tkun imsejsa  fuq proċess kritiku  u storiku ta’ evalwazzjoni u mhux fuq konġettura;

    CHAPTER 445 Article 2

    "conservation" means any activity required to maximize the endurance or minimize deterioration of any cultural property as far as possible, and includes examinating, testing, treating, recording and preserving any such property or any part thereof:

    “restoration’ means a highly specialised activity to conserve the ingetrity of cultural heritage, and to reveal values and to imporve the legibility of its original state, form and design, within the limits of still exisitin gmaterial. Such activity must be based on a critical and historical process of evaluation and not on conjecture;

    "conservation" désigne toute activité nécessaire pour maximiser l'endurance ou minimiser la détérioration de tout bien culturel dans la mesure du possible, et comprend les examinant, les essais, le traitement, l'enregistrement et la préservation de ces biens ou de toute partie de ces propriétés:

    "restauration": une activité hautement spécialisée pour conserver la ingetrity du patrimoine culturel, et pour révéler des valeurs et améliorer la lisibilité de son état, de sa forme et de sa conception originelles, dans les limites des material encore existants. Cette activité doit se fonder sur un processus critique et historique d'évaluation et non sur des conjectures;

    "Konservierung " bedeutet jede Aktivität, die erforderlich ist, um die Ausdauer zu maximieren oder die Verschlechterung eines kulturellen Eigentums so weit wie möglich zu minimieren, und beinhaltet die Prüfung, Erprobung, Behandlung, Aufzeichnung und Konservierung einer solchen Eigenschaft oder eines Teils davon:

    "Restaurierung" bedeutet eine hoch spezialisierte Tätigkeit, um die ingetrity des kulturellen Erbes zu erhalten und Werte aufzudecken und die Lesbarkeit seines ursprünglichen Zustandes, seiner Form und seines Designs innerhalb der Grenzen des noch existierenden gmaterials zu importieren. Eine solche Tätigkeit muss auf einem kritischen und historischen Bewertungsprozess beruhen und nicht auf Vermutungen;
