    Justification for Article 7.4:

    The profession of Dental assistant is closely linked to health and safety. In order to ensure the quality of the services provided in our territory this profession is covered by the general system for the recognition of qualification. Public health and patient safety are the priority aspects of the health policy of the Republic of Lithuania.

    Description of activities:
    Gydytojo odontologo padėjėjas asistuoja gydytojui odontologui ar gydytojui odontologui specialistui, teikiančiam klinikinę ir kitą odontologinę pagalbą, padeda gydytojui odontologui pildyti medicinos dokumentus, dezinfekuoja ir sterilizuoja odontologinius instrumentus, prietaisus ar jų dalis.
    The dental assistant assists the dentist or specialist dentist providing dental clinical and other assistance to help the dentist to complete medical records, disinfect and sterilize dental instruments, equipment or parts thereof. (EN)
