    A gyermek-haematoonkológus szakorvos olyan csecsemő és gyermekgyógyász szakorvos, aki utóbbi a szakképesítése során már alapgyakorlatot szerzett a haemato-onkológiai szakterületen, ismeri annak radiológiai (képalkotó) diagnosztikáját, és a leleteket tudja értékelni. Kellő ismeretekkel kell rendelkeznie a haematoonkológiai terápia, elsősorban a kemoterápia területén, jártasnak kell lennie a neutropéniás sepsis kezelésében, és ismernie kell a haematológiai megbetegedések immunológiai vonatkozásait. Megfelelő klinikai tapasztalattal kell rendelkeznie a haemostasis és haemofilia területén, ismernie kell az autológ és allogén őssejt-transzplantációt, kellő gyakorlattal kell rendelkeznie a csontvelő-biopsia végzése, és a kenetek értékelése terén. És teljesítette a speciális transzfúziológiai tanfolyamot.

    Paediatric haematology-oncologist is a paediatrician who, possessing this specialist medical doctor qualification, has gained basic practice in haematology-oncology, is competent in its radiology (medical imaging) diagnostics, also in assessing evidences. The paediatric haematology-oncologist is expected to have acquired appropriate experience in haemato-oncological therapy, especially chemotherapy, is required to treat neutropenic sepsis/febrile neutropenia and must know the immunologic incidences of haematological diseases. The paediatric haematology-oncologist is expected to have appropriate clinical experience regarding haemostasis and haemophilia, to know autologous and allogeneic stem cell transplantation, to have acquired appropriate competence in performing bone marrow biopsy and assessing smear tests. The paediatric haematology-oncologist is also required to have completed a training element on transfusiology. (EN)
