    Description of activities:
    Les restaurateurs ont la responsabilité d’intervenir sur la matière des oeuvres et objets ayant une valeur patrimoniale, afin de les transmettre aux futures générations. Ils agissent lorsque cette matière est menacée et que le vieillissement, les accidents, les remaniements ont fragilisé les oeuvres, perverti ou masqué leur image. Ce métier difficile mobilise des connaissances et aptitudes variées, qui vont de la sensibilité artistique et de la culture historique à la chimie des matériaux, la connaissance des techniques anciennes, l’habileté manuelle et la maîtrise d’outils que des siècles d’évolution séparent, comme le burin et le laser. Les restaurateurs peuvent exercer leur métier selon des modalités variées et dans des spécialités diverses comme les arts du feu, les arts graphiques et livre, les arts textiles, le mobilier,la peinture, la photographie, la sculpture.
