    Description of activities:
    Beheren van archiefbescheiden in een archiefbewaarplaats in goede, geordende en toegankelijke staat; Adviseren van de zorgdrager over vast te stellen beperkingen aan de openbaarheid van de over te brengen archiefbescheiden (artikel 15, aanhef Archiefwet); Het verwerven van particuliere archieven (artikel 16 Archiefwet); Beschikbaar stellen van openbare archiefbescheiden aan eenieder (artikel 17 Archiefwet); Verlenen van toestemming tot raadpleging van beperkt openbare archiefbescheiden (artikel 17, eerste lid Archiefwet); Besluiten tot uitlenen van archiefbescheiden aan instelling mits deskundig beheer en veilige bewaring zijn gewaarborgd (artikel 18 Archiefwet); Afgifte van afschriften van authentieke akten (artikel 20 Archiefwet); Adviseren over ontwerp-selectielijsten (artikel 3 Archiefbesluit); Voeren van overleg en mede opstellen van verklaring van overbrenging bij overbrenging van archiefbescheiden naar een archiefbewaarplaats (art. 9 en 10 Archiefbesluit)
    To keep and preserve archival records in a proper, orderly and accessible state; to give advice on the restrictions on public accessibility of archival materials that are to be transferred by government organisations into a state archives repository; the acquisition of private archives; to support citizens or institutions seeking information for legal, evidentiary or historical, cultural and/or scientific purposes; to permit access to restricted archival material; loaning of archival materials according to the Archival Act 1995; To give copies of certificates; acting as advisory body on appraisal of public records in determining whether they should be preserved or destroyed & participation in a strategic counsel on information, preparing the transfer of archival information; to see that the procedures and formalities are fulfilled regarding the transfer of physical and digital archives by governmental organisations (EN)
