    Description of activities:

    Farmaceut pripravlja i izdaje lijekove prema receptu liječnika te informira pacijenta o svrsi, doziranju, načinu djelovanja i popratnim učincima lijeka. Mora voditi brigu o pravilnom skladištenju i spremanju lijekova, medicinskih pomagala i drugih proizvoda. Pritom mora poštivati propise s područja ljekarništva, zdravstvene skrbi i osiguranja te propise za zaštitu potrošača. Farmaceut također vodi propisane evidencije i dokumentaciju. Najčešće vodi računalne zapise o lijekovima koje pacijenti upotrebljavaju, kako bi se izbjegle štetne posljedice koje mogu izazvati pojedini lijekovi ako se koriste istovremeno ili u kratkim vremenskim razmacima. Surađuje s ostalim zdravstvenim djelatnicima, liječnicima i medicinskim sestrama, što se posebno odnosi na rad u bolničkim ljekarnama. Za ostale zdravstvene djelatnike priprema pisane ili usmene informacije o lijekovima i njihovom djelovanju.

    The pharmacist prepares and dispenses medicines according to the doctor's prescription and informs the patient about the purpose, dosage, mode of action and side effects of the drug. He must take care of the proper storage and storage of medicines, medical supplies and other products. In doing so, it must comply with pharmacy, health and insurance regulations and consumer protection regulations. The pharmacist also maintains prescribed records and documentation. Most often, he maintains computerized records of the medicines that patients use, to avoid the harmful effects that particular medicines can cause if used concurrently or at short intervals. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals, physicians and nurses, which is particularly relevant to working in hospital pharmacies. For other health professionals, prepare written or oral information about medicines and their activities.
