Regionale Energie Strategie Twente

The RES is an policy instrument for making regional decisions on a sustainable and inventive solutions for a successful energy transition, informed by civil society. These entail:

  • the generation of sustainable electricity
  • the heat transition in the built environment and
  • the required storage and energy infrastructure;

The RES is also a way of organizing cooperation between all regional parties (governments and civil society organizations) in preparation for concrete projects arising from the RES;

Finally, the RES is a product that describes the strategy the RES region uses to determine and achieve local / regional energy objectives. The RES has a horizon of 2030 with a view to 2050.
