West Finland European Office (WFEO) serves the interests of four Finnish regions (Central Finland, Ostrobothnia, Satakunta, and South Ostrobothnia) in Brussels. The goal is to promote the activity of the western Finnish players at the European level, as well as to try to assist and support the regional actors to take advantage of EU funding for developing their own activities. The office actively follows the EU decision-making, funding opportunities and discussions from the perspective of Western Finland, and offers up-to-date information on EU affairs for the provincial actors.

The focus areas of activity consist of lobbying, EU information, partner searches, legislation as well as following of EU funding and supporting funding applications. Visits to Brussels are also being organised. Provision of EU related information is considered to be one of the key activities. Information is distributed via electronic newsletter, containing details of EU policies, current events as well as funding channels.
