Are you interested in shaping the future EU advanced manufacturing agenda?
The Commission's Communication "For a European Industrial Renaissance” in January 2014 pointed out the growing importance of the integration of digital technologies in manufacturing. As a result the EC Task Force on Advanced Manufacturing included this issue on its agenda.
Therefore the Commission is organising a dedicated public hearing on this issue. The objective of this event is to gather relevant stakeholders to discuss the challenges and new opportunities of digitalisation for manufacturing in Europe and the implications for business models, skills and the regulatory framework.
Policy makers, industry representatives and other stakeholders will discuss how to maximise the contribution of ICT in manufacturing to growth, competitiveness and jobs and how to leverage national and regional efforts in this area to speed up the modernisation of the European industry. The public hearing will be an important contribution for shaping the European Commission's policy agenda on advanced manufacturing in the coming period.
The event will take place on 10 of July, Thursday, between 9:30 and 17:00 in Brussels (DG Enterprise & Industry, Breydel Auditorium, Av. d'Auderghem 45, Brussels). You will be able to find the updated version of the agenda and other details under the following link.
