Targeted stakeholder consultation on use of the euro in the aircrafts trade

This consultation covers the usage of the euro in the aircraft manufacturing industry. Concurrent consultations are investigating the currency's usage in maritime and railway industries.

Objective of the consultation

A 2016 study by the JRC shows that the majority of transactions in the European aircraft manufacturing sector are in US Dollars. To investigate the current state-of-play, the Commission is launching a public consultation. This consultation aims to uncover how stakeholders see the possibilities for an increased use of the euro in their industries.

Timeframe
