The call for applications for the selection of members of the European Commission expert group, ‘Industrial Forum' is now open.
The expert group was foreseen by the New Industrial Strategy for Europe as an inclusive and open mechanism for co-designing solutions with stakeholders. It will support the Commission in its systematic analysis of industrial ecosystems and in assessing the risks and needs of industry as it embarks on the digital and green transition, and the strengthening of its resilience.
The expert group will also contribute to the coordination of recovery efforts, as a forum for EU countries and industry to exchange best practices to transform industrial ecosystems.
The group will have up to 55 members, including
- industrial associations, NGOs, trade unions, research and technology organisations, representatives of the financial/investment sector, associations of regions or of regional development agencies (type C members)
- EU member authorities at national or regional level (type D members)
- the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) (type E members)
This call concerns applications for type C members.
The first meeting of the Industrial Forum expert group is planned for January 2021.
