Invitation to the symposium and panel discussion "Peace Project Europe"
The United Nations (UN) were founded with the noble goal of establishing and maintaining worldwide peace and security. 2017 marks 25 years of the Common Security and Defense Policy and five years since the European Union (EU) was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace.
We will look at the roles of both the UN and the EU as peacemakers and peacekeepers in Europe with numerous challenges still ahead. Our speakers will talk about the EU and UN, their shared goals, combined efforts and common strategies to achieve and maintain peace as well as the importance of the co-operation between these two important organisations.
The symposium will be in English, with no translation provided.
