The first meeting of the working group on learning opportunities took place on on 10 April 2019 in Brussels. The group discussed the way forward on providing information about learning opportunities in the new Europass platform.
This working group is a subgroup of the Europass Advisory Group and includes 18 participants representing 13 countries (Austria, Belgium, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Netherlands, Portugal, Republic of North Macedonia, Slovenia and Sweden) and four stakeholder organisations (European Volunteer Centre (CEV), European Trade Union Committee for Education (ETUCE), Eurochambers and Lifelong Learning Platform (LLLP)).
The meeting focused on addressing the following questions:
- What is the added value of a European approach to learning opportunities?
- Who are the target audiences?
- What are the potential needs of users? and
- What kinds of learning opportunities should be included?
The first meeting concentrated on working towards a series of options on how to advance with quantity and quality of learning opportunities to be presented on the new Europass platform. The second meeting to be held in May will concentrate on furthering this discussion and looking at the feasibility of these options.
The group will report its conclusions back to the Europass Advisory Group in the next Advisory Group meeting in June.
