On 30 September 2025, the European Food Banks Federation (FEBA) and the European Food Forum (EFF) will convene policymakers, industry leaders, and food system stakeholders to tackle food loss and waste in line with UN SDG 12.3 - Halving global per capita food waste by 2030. This event will be hosted by MEP Mario Furore, MEP Stefan Köhler, and MEP Pietro Fiocchi and will explore the roles of manufacturers, retailers, and policymakers in reducing waste, advancing food donation, and driving innovation. Discussions will showcase success stories, policy solutions, consumer engagement, and strategies to prevent losses from livestock diseases. By fostering collaboration, the event seeks to build sustainable agri-food systems that minimise waste, strengthen food security, and reduce environmental impacts.
