  1. Technology: production environment
    • Database: Oracle 9i with character set UFT-8
    • Coldfusion server: Coldfusion MX
    • HTTP website
    • FTP download site ( restricted access )
  2. BACK-END: Database location and update
    • The Oracle database will be hosted on a server at the European Commission in Luxembourg
    • The ColdFusion server will be hosted at DG Relex
    • HTTP website will be hosted at and managed by the DG Relex persons
    • FTP download site will manage by the European Commission in Luxembourg
    • the database will be updated by DG Relex staff
  3. FRONT-END: Final output : XML files
    • The database will produce 3 different files in XML format : UPDATES, GLOBAL, HISTORIC
    • The files will be accessible via 2 means: an HTTP access (DG Relex website) and FTP access (restricted area)
    • The uploaded files will in principle be posted on the HTTP site and FTP site on the day of publication in the Official Journal of a relevant Regulation
