XML files: Data Structure and fields definition

Remarks: the fields are completed when the data are available in the Official Journal (ONLY)! No assumption has been made regarding the data.

Structured elements:

  • <Regulation></Regulation>: reference to a specific regulation number (see below attribute: Number, date, pdf link) - only for the "HISTORY" file
  • <Entity></Entity>: root to one individual record (see below attributes: ID, Entity_id, Type, legal basis, Active, Status, Reg date and Pdf link, remarks)
  • <Name></Name>: the identification details start here with the name (same attributes as Entity)
    • LastName
    • FirstName
    • WholeName (when LastName and FirstName are not specified)
    • Title
    • Function (job function)
    • Gender
    • Language: OJ version (by default it is English version, when a spelling difference appears then the OJ version is specified)
  • <Address> </Address> : second level of identification: the address details (same attributes as Entity)
    • Number
    • Street
    • Zipcode
    • City
    • Country (ISO code: 3 letters)
    • Other (Vat number, Social security number, fiscal number, ...)
  • <Birth></Birth> (same attributes as Entity)
    • Date
    • Place
    • Country (ISO code: 3 letters)
  • <Passport></Passport>: 3rd level of identification: passport or identity card details (same attributes as Entity)
    • Number
    • Country (ISO code: 3 letters)
  • <Citizen></Citizen> : 4th level of identification: the nationality (same attributes as Entity)
    • Country (ISO code: 3 letters)

Attributes:

The below attributes are not used by the 3 files. Please refer to the file structure by clicking on the file names above.

  • ID: automatic number given by the application
  • Entity_id: automatic number given by the application. Linked to the general ID, it gives an sub-ID number to each different alias/address/date/passport number...
  • Type: entity or person
  • Legal_basis: regulation number (i.e. 314/2004) + the Official Journal reference (i.e.: L50)
  • Reg_date: date of the Regulation (i.e. 2 April 2004)
  • Pdf_link: link to the electronic English version of the Regulation or Decision
  • Remark: additional information in English only (i.e.: date of death, wife's name, ...)
  • Status : new, delete or modify
  • Number : of the Regulation
