The data of all the existing regulations were introduced as following :
- All Regulations in force were gathered. Data have been taken from PDF files that were converted into Word files. Why ? to allow a copy-paste of these data in the database and consequently reduce the number of spelling errors .
- No amendments to the published data were made by our team of data processing experts .
- perform a cross-research between the different linguistic versions to pin down ONLY differences between the names/first names/nicknames spelling/arabic numbers and birth dates.
- The data were taken from the English versions of the Regulations. A cross-check between the different linguistic versions was made to find differen t spellings of names (including first names and nicknames ) and dates of birth. These different spellings and dates were included. "
It explains the following:
- what has been introduced into the database is an exact copy of what is written in the Official Journal (all linguistic versions): consequently you will find words in uppercase or lowercase, identified errors, no data for certain fields, different date formats ...
- the address and remarks fields are only in English
- The names and aliases are in different languages and alphabets
