Do you use Eurostat’s statistics? Are you among those provide them?
If so, please tell us what you think about the performance of the European Statistical programme (ESP) by taking part in the public consultation recently launched by the European Commission to support its final evaluation.
The European statistical programme (ESP) provides the framework for the development, production and dissemination of European statistics.
The ESP that started in 2013 just finished at the end of 2020. It had the following objectives:
• to provide statistical information in a timely and cost-effective manner;
• to implement new methods of production of statistics to increase efficiency and improve quality;
• to strengthen partnership within the European Statistical System and beyond in order to further increase its productivity; and
• to ensure statistics are delivered in a consistent manner and can quickly adapt to new priorities.
We would like to learn whether and to what extent you think that the ESP objectives have been achieved and if at a reasonable cost.
The questionnaire is available in English, French and German but you can reply in any of the 24 official EU languages. The consultation is open until 10 March 2021.
We would be grateful to receive your feedback soon.
