The Central Statistical Office of Poland (GUS) and Eurostat are pleased to invite you to the European Conference on Quality in Official Statistics (Q2018) which will be held on 27th – 29th June, 2018 in the “ICE Kraków Congress Centre” in Kraków, Poland.
The Q2018 Conference will be one of the series of scientific gatherings covering methodological and quality-related issues that are relevant to the development of the European Statistical System.
In addition, a series of training courses on important methods and tools for improved quality of statistics production, within the context of the Q2018 Conference, will be held on the day preceding the start of the Conference – June 26th, 2018.
Only a few weeks left to submit your abstracts to the Q2018 conference, 26-29 June 2018 Kraków, Poland. The deadline for abstracts submission is 15 December 2017.
Abstracts for papers can be submitted via the conference website, which includes instructions for the authors. Please check the basic requirements for abstracts, write and send your own!
Statistics Poland invites you to follow up the European Statistics Day on their website and on social media: The digital publication “The life of women and men in Europe - a statistical portrait” is promoted and an infographic with European demographic data is available on the website, Facebook (@GlownyUrzadStatystyczny) and Twitter (@GUS_stat).
In additiion, an open workshop “How to use Eurostat Database” is being organised on the 20 October.
Q2018 conference in Poland (26 – 29 June 2018) Call for papers – abstract submission deadline 15 December 2017
The next European Conference on Quality in Official Statistics will take place in Krakow from 27 to 29 June 2018. Like its predecessors, the Q2018 conference will offer participants a platform for high-level discussions on many diverse quality issues in official statistics, as well as to exchange methods and good practices between experts in different areas from different institutions (statistical offices, international organisations, researchers and academics). The conference aims to focus on methodology and quality-related issues that are important for the development of the European Statistical System. Furthermore, as an open forum of debate, it represents an opportunity to introduce innovation in many aspects related to quality of statistics.
In addition, a series of training courses will be held on 26 June 2018. These training courses strengthen and expand the programme, covering topics such as Big Data, Data integration and validation, Data visualization and dissemination, Linked open data and Total quality management. Should you be interested in participating in the event, you are invited to take a look at the list of topics and to submit an abstract for evaluation.
