European Statistics Day

World Statistics Day 2020

Every five years, on 20 October, Eurostat and our partners in the European Statistical System join in the global celebrations for World Statistics Day organized under the guidance of the United Nations Statistical Commission. This year, the theme is “Connecting the world with data we can trust” reflecting on the importance of trust, authoritative data, innovation and the public good in national statistical systems.

To commemorate this year’s World Statistics Day, we will be publishing here details of the special activities organised within the European Statistical System, which aim to build support and better understanding of official statistics among the public and policymakers across the European Union.
