Standard for data dissemination established by the International Monetary Fund.
The Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS) was established by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to guide members that have, or that might seek, access to international capital markets in the provision of their economic and financial data to the public. Subscription to the SDDS was opened in April 1996.
This concept was part the SDMX Metadata Common Vocabulary (MCV), as published in SDMX Content-Oriented Guidelines (COG), annex 4 "Metadata Common Vocabulary", in 2009 ( In February 2016 the Metadata Common Vocabulary was replaced by the SDMX Glossary 2016.
