Definition
Input to gas-works consists of coal, naphtha, gas/diesel oil, liquefied petroleum gas (Liquefied petroleum gas) and natural gas used in the production of gas works gas by distillation, cracking, reforming or hydrogenation.

Quantities of natural gas, coke-oven gas, blast furnace gas used as mixtures with gas-works gas destined for distribution in the original state are not included here but are entered as inter-product transfers.
