Workshop on Trusted Smart Statistics: policymaking in the age of the IoT

We are pleased to announce that Eurostat will organise a workshop on "Trusted Smart Statistics: policymaking in the age of the IoT" that will take place in Dorint Pallas, in Wiesbaden (Germany) (location), on 30 and 31 January 2019.

The workshop aims at bringing together producers of official statistics, policymakers, members of research community developing innovative projects, to have a first discussion on data driven policymaking in the age of the IoT, opportunities related to the production of trusted smart statistics from the conceptual, practical and technical perspective.

Call for abstracts

You are invited to share your views and experiences on the use of smart systems and smart technologies within an enlarged IoT ecosystem for producing smart statistics. For more details, have a look at the scope of the workshop and consider submitting an abstract for delivering a presentation.

The abstracts should be submitted by 15 September 2018

Programme

The workshop will start around 13:00 on 30 January 2019 and end around 17:00 on 31 January 2019. For further details, please consult the full workshop programme, which will be made available onlineas soon as presentations are confirmed

Participation and registration

Participation to the workshop is free of charge, but registration via the online interface is a precondition for attendance.

Please note, that as the number of places is limited, Eurostat reserves the right to decide on registrations. You are hence advised not to make any firm travel arrangements until you have received a message confirming that your registration request has been approved.
