Abstract

The National Health Survey (NHS) is an investigation that the INE carries out based on a collaboration agreement with the Ministry of Health and Social Policy. It is directed at families. Its main objective is to obtain data on the state of health and determinant factors from the citizens viewpoint.

The survey provides results at a National and Autonomous Communities level with tables on: state of health and accidents, use of health services, life habits and preventive practices.

In 2009 were conducted the European Health Survey with similar content, but armonized with other European countries.
