The concept of confidence intervals is well established for population parameters estimated from survey samples in finite populations. A broader idea of confidence images (CIm) not restricted to survey samples is developed and suggested by Laitila (2013, 2014). It is a theory for deriving confidence regions (intervals) for parameters in finite populations.
