EMOS webinars on official statistics start on 10 January

European Master in Official Statistics (EMOS) is back with new webinar series. The 2018 EMOS webinar progamme covers topics on production and dissemination of official statistics in 12 sessions of 60 minutes each. The programme will be running roughly twice a month on Wednesdays 16:15–17:30 CET from January to June 2018  with speakers from Eurostat, EMOS Master programmes, National Statistical Institutes as well as Central Banks.

EMOS webinars are primarily meant to fill gaps in fully achieving the EMOS learning outcomes in EMOS-labelled Master programmes. Webinars target primarily EMOS students and their professors but anyone already familiar with or interested in the field of official statistics also welcome participants.

Join the opening on 10 January by Mariana Kotzeva, acting Director-General of Eurostat, to learn about the European Statistical System from Eurostat colleagues, and on 31 January about the European System of Central Banks (ESCB) statistics from Aurel Schubert, Director-General of the ECB's Statistics Department. Webinars will be hosted by the Faculty of Economics, University of Ljubljana (FELU) using Adobe Connect. Registration is now open, it is also possible to sign up to webinar alerts for upcoming sessions.

We hope that you find the webinar programme useful and look forward to seeing many of you in EMOS seminars next year!
