The event

At this flagship event on Linked Open Statistical Data (LOSD) in the context of official statistics, the Linked Open Statistics ESSnet will present its outcomes. Highlights include:

• The Killer App for Linked Open Statistics
• Best LOD practices - concrete examples from the ESS and beyond
• How to publish and link statistical data - tools, hub and pipeline
• LOD Hackathons and the LOD learning platform.

As this event concludes the work on the ESSnet, the event will also serve as a forum for discussing on the way forward for Linked Open Data in the European Statistical System:  how to keep the momentum, and how to best build on the successes of the ESSnet?

Date and venue

The event will take place at the Hilton Hotel in Sofia (Bulgaria), starting in the morning of Monday 27 May 2019, and ending at lunchtime on Tuesday 28 May 2019.

The agenda can now be accessed on the left-hand side. Eurostat and the ESSnet on Linked Open Data are very happy to welcome the two keynote speakers:

Mr Pierre-Yves Vandenbussche, from Elsevier Labs, and

Mr Ghislain Atemezing, from Mondeca.

Together with other inspiring presentations from CBS Netherlands, the Data Science Society, the State e-Government Agency of Bulgaria and, of course, the ESSnet on Linked Open Data, this workshop should be a treat to all interested in LOD.

Registration

Participation is free, but subject to registration, and limited by the capacity of the event venue. You are therefore invited to enter your registration request early to secure your spot. 

The ESSnet reserves the right to prioritise among registration requests in order to achieve a balanced participation in terms of the organisations and profiles represented at the event.
