Workshop on access to administrative data sources (Brussels, 13-14 September 2016)
A two-days workshop on access to administrative data sources will be organised by Eurostat on 13 and 14 September 2016 in Brussels; it will focus on the legal, institutional and organisational issues related to the access to and availability of administrative data for the production of official statistics.
The workshop will include presentations by national statistical offices of EU and EFTA countries and it is open to any other interested participant, such as representatives from statistical offices of candidate or other countries, international organisations and academia.
The aim of the workshop is to facilitate information exchange and sharing of experience among statisticians from national statistical offices and the official statistics community at large, concerning the legal and institutional environment, collaboration with data owners, efficient administrative procedures and practices and actual implementation obstacles concerning the exploitation of administrative data provided by third parties.
The meeting will start at midday on 13 September and end around 13:00 on 14 September. For details, please refer to the preliminary workshop programme.
Participation is free of charge but subject to online registration. The registration will be open until Monday 15 August.
