The aim of the survey on building permits is to provide data on the number of building permits, as well as the number and floor area of dwellings in buildings for which the building permits are issued.

Building permits are usually defined as permits issued upon request that generally performs the work on the construction project as planned.

The value of works presents the planned value of works on the building ant its shows in thousands of EUR.

Floor area is the useful floor area measured inside the dwelling walls.

The report is filled by the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism, and State Property - Directorate for Construction, which issues the building permits by the Law on Construction of buildings and secretariats responsible for urban planning in local self-governments.

The reporting unit is the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Urbanism, and State Property - Directorate for Construction and secretariats responsible for urban planning in local self-governments.

The whole territory of Montenegro.

The reference period is quarter.

The survey on building permits includes permits for all types of construction described in the Classification of Types of Construction i.e. buildings and civil engineering.

The survey included the Ministry responsible for construction, which are according to the Law on Spatial Planning and Construction of Buildings ("Official Gazette of Montenegro" No. 064/17, 044/18, 063/18, 011/19, 082/20) issues building permits, and secretariats responsible for urban planning in local self-governments.
