The indicators are compiled on a national accounts (ESA 2010) basis. They comprise main aggregates (total revenue and expenditure, main components (ESA 2010 economic categories as well as balancing items). The difference between total revenue and total expenditure equals net lending/net borrowing (B.9). The indicators are as compiled directly by Eurostat under Table 0200 'Main aggregates of general government' of the ESA2010 transmission programme. For definitions, please see in particular European system of accounts, chapter 8, 19 and 20. Some additional detail outside the scope of the transmission programme is also published. |
