Data and metadata are transmitted to Eurostat by the Member States in the framework of the Unified Demographic Data Collection which is in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 862/2007 and Regulation (EU) No 1260/2013 and their implementing regulations. This Euro SDMX Metadata Structure is used for the purpose of quality reporting. The definition of the quality concepts and guidelines are described in the European Statistical System Handbook for Quality Reports. The population statistics include all persons who have an official residence in Liechtenstein on the reference date (December 31) and who reside or intend to reside for a period of one year or longer. Thus the offical population registered in accordance with the statutory provisions, i.e. the administrative reality is depicted. Persons whose settlement, permanent residence or annual residence permit has expired but who have not left the country are included in the statistics. The usual place of residence is defined as the place of place of legal, registered residence. |
