They cover slaughtering in slaughterhouses (monthly) and other slaughtering (annual), GIP (gross indigenous production) forecast (semi-annual or quarterly data), and livestock statistics (once or twice a year), including regional statistics (annual).This template lists the questions constituting the quality report required in Article 17 of EU Regulation N°1165/2008 on livestock and meat statistics.

According to Regulation (EC) No 1165/2008 statistical units are agricultural holdings as defined in article 2a of Regulation (EC) No 1166/2008. Here ‘agricultural holding’ means “a single unit, both technically and economically, which has a single management and which undertakes agricultural activities […] either as its primary or secondary activity”. The holdings in the bovine register are not agricultural holdings as defined in Regulation (EC) No 1166/2008 but holdings in accordance to Regulation (EC) No 1760/2000. In article 2 of this Regulation holdings are defined as “any establishment, construction or, in the case of an open-air farm, any place situated within the territory of the same Member State, in which animals covered by this Regulation are held, kept or handled”.
