18. Statistical processing Top
18.1. Source data

Data (both the number of laying hens and the number of their eggs) are collected from all agricultural holdings with at least 500 poultry heads through statistical survey. For smaller holdings, model estimation has been used. The estimation is based on 2017 data.

18.1.1. Description of data collection process

Data (both the number of laying hens and the number of their eggs) are collected from all agricultural holdings with at least 500 poultry heads through statistical survey. In 2018, the number of these units was 21.

18.1.2. Model used as a breakdown based on individual information
Yes
18.1.3. Method used for the model

Data (both the number of laying hens and the number of their eggs) are collected from all agricultural holdings with at least 500 poultry heads through statistical survey. For smaller holdings, model estimation has been used. The estimation is based on 2017 data.

18.5. Data compilation

.

18.5.1. Data compilation process - data weighting

Data (both the number of laying hens and the number of their eggs) are collected from all agricultural holdings with at least 500 poultry heads through statistical survey (21 units in 2018). For smaller holdings, model estimation has been used. The estimation is based on 2017 annual livestock data (average production data) collected via statistical survey, which for the year 2017 included data on both small (less than 500 poultry heads) and large (at least 500 poultry heads) poultry farms. The estimation of the number of small agricultural holdings is based on the annually updated statistical register of agricultural holdings (farm register).

18.5.2. Data compilation process
