Data regarding land prices are not yet compiled and such data will be collected in the Census of Agriculture 2020. Such data similar to land rents are being collected in the FADN survey but since the sample consists of only 536 agriculture holdings one cannot have the complete picture when it comes to sales of agricultural land for agriculture purposes. Also, since the agricultural land is limited, there is not a large number of transactions of agricultural land that is sold for agricultural purposes. In the last years, the main reason that persons are buying the agricultural land is mainly for leisure rather than for agricultural use.   

Land rents are based on the data obtained from the Farm Accountancy Data Network (FADN) Survey.
