Data description

The price of one hectare of free agricultural land broken down into arable land and permanent grassland for calendar year. The prices are also surveyed at the NUTS 2 level.

The sector covered is the agriculture sector. Prices are surveyed from the owner of agricultural land who is selling agricultural land for agricultural use (selling prices).

Definition of the land price values

The price of one hectare of agricultural land (arable land, permanent grassland) paid by the holder in free trade without deduction of taxes or levies and without the inclusion of subsidies.

The price of renting one hectare of agricultural land (arable land and permanent grassland) is defined under EU requirements, i.e. price includes payments in kind and land tax payments for rented land. It excludes rent paid for buildings, halls and warehouses.

The costs of transferring ownership (therefore lawyer's fees, registration taxes and real estate) are excluded from collected selling/purchase price of agricultural land? Yes Not applicable.

The data were filtered according to celected criteria to exclude unreliable prices and transactions with non-agricultural land.

To derive rent and area of rented land for the entire universe of farms in the Czech Republic, FADN weighing system was developed. This weighing system enables the calculation of the value of rent and the total area of rented land for all agricultural holdings represented by the network of farms in FADN selective group.
